Beneath its jewel-bright fruit lies a smooth, hand-whisked custard made completely from scratch with fresh milk, eggs, and pure vanilla. The golden pastry shell adds a delicate crunch, holding that silky vanilla layer and a generous crown of ripe seasonal fruit — perhaps strawberries and peaches in summer, figs and berries in autumn, or a mix of whatever is most beautiful right now.
